    I agree that the Cslab's documentation is top notch.

    Path Pilot is what Tormach supply with their machines. I believe that it is based on LinuxCNC. Previously Tormach supplied a modified version of Mach3. I do not know when they changed to Path pilot. Although primarily programmed for their own CNC machines they have made Path Pilot available as a stand alone programme.

    Another company with various options/prices is https://edingcnc.com/ I have not used any of their stuff but they have been around for quite a while and the stuff looks to be OK. Hardware and software from 3 axis upwards.
    They are based in Holland.
