I've never heard of that before. I've seen filler made from sawdust and wood glue, but never sap. That's interesting. I learned a thing today. It is a good day. Thanks.

Collect it and boil it then mix it with the sawdust is how I think my grandpa did it but I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, so memories are not always perfect. I know he always made his own wood glue. as well with animal hooves
