Shouldn't they be more popular? Maybe not the "war chariot" type that NortonDommi mentioned (although maybe!) but at least the much smaller ones I
saw in some European ebay.
I live in rural Oregon, where splitting wood, and a lot of it, too, is just something we do. Everyone has their own method, and I've about seem them all, including the ridiculously efficient mega splitters that section (buck) the log to length, that is then hydraulically shoved through a "round wedge", into many individual pieces of fire wood instantly
BUT, these cone splitters are just not used or available, as far as I know.
Why is that?
The ones I saw in the eBay were very expensive, but I don't think it necessarily has to be.
They're just a cone!
I want one! (Anybody got one? ;>)
