    I don't know if you can silver solder Kanthal, but with my 3Kw heating elements from a radiant overhead, the OEM did this (Ni chrome wire) to the #12 screw hardware, that connected through the ceramic insulator, to the high temp insulated wires, with ring type terminals, that that screw hardware clamped the ring terminal between two threaded nuts. Loose connections will burn the connection till it exceeds fusion temp of the material.
    Seems your fold over and attention to good clamping forces, will keep all good.
