A beautiful idea anyone can use here is that simple crude "L" shaped block that Tuomas uses as a drill and tap guide for vertical positioning. My sound wasn't working so I am left a little mystified over the saw and blade used for cutting that heavy hot rolled steel plate.

In this rage 185b model. It comes with multiuse blade that cuts steel too, but multiblade is little slower when cutting steel. But, it also cuts wood and plastics. Works specially nicely with alumine.

Note that, evolution saws uses slower 3200rpm speed than regular saws.
