Hand Crafted Round Knife - Leather Workers Tool...

Hand Crafted Round Knife - Leather Workers Tool...-rps20150122_145204.jpg

Round knife for leather crafting. Made from O1 high carbon steel. Blued finish to give it an antique look. Curly maple handle. Hand rubbed linseed oil with brass pin and lanyard tube for that old time warm feeling.

Nice-looking tool. Reminds me of the knives I saw shoemakers use when I was a boy.

Those were typically made based on a 4" radius. This one is based on a 3". I made it for a friend who does leather work and likes one of kind custom made tools. I currently have one on the bench I'm making for a young lady who crafts leather masks.

Nice, O-1 makes for an good knife and when doing leather work you want something that will take and hold a fine edge.
