    did something similar at work some years ago, rigged a pipe from a transfer station, dropped screwdrivers, welding rods, podgy bars, etc onto helmeted watermelons. - the lesson was as much to show how helmets helped, but also drive home the fact that something as simple as a welding rod dropped from 16m up could still punch through a helmet, so care and caution was needed with work crews working elevated. Dropped objects mats, tool lanyards, etc are the controls, exclusion zones underneath are a last line of defence.

    Being the Vice President of the Coalition Against Cruelty to Watermelons (VP-CACW), I strongly suggest that ALL watermelons are protected from falling objects.
