    Does the tree die if the bark is removed completly around the trunk?

    I’ve been using full Cassia bark instead of ground cinnamon as an ingredient for 30+ years now. The flavour is more robust. It’s wonderful in Rums and really adds something to my Gins

    I've been wondering for a while what happens to the core of the tree. I tried to find some cinnamon timber, but had no luck.
