Interesting. I live way, way out in the absolute middle of nowhere in Nova Scotia, Canada. The closest town is 20 minutes away. My only neighbours are squirrels. The slowest cable internet I can get is 350 megabit. I know British Columbia is very quick as well. I think Ontario is dragging the national average down.

So having pretty well developed the Internet and gifted it to the rest of the world, the USA isn't in the top ten in terms of network speed.
