Huh. Who would have thought the clothes of the world's least appropriately dressed man would have doubled as PPE.

Pretty quick thinking by the guy in white during a panic situation. Good friend to have around if you have to get shocked.

Must be short circuit from overhead lighting. He's closing window guard on a storefront, and first few seconds everything is fine.
Both are conscious, the victim signals friend he is in trouble, friend first tries pulling him away by hand, but feels the current.

As Mike Rowe observes, "Safety Third". You should regard self as primary responsible party; and when job calls for it, immediate persons are first line observers. He's pointing out no amount of legislation, admonition or quick fixes remedy what you can resolve.

If you actually saw how those idiots steal power from anywhere they can get it from, then it's no wonder that he got zapped.
Can not work out how the power companies over in Asia can ever make any money, when so many just steal the power.

Does any EMT or ER doc out there know if the guys attending the victim that are pressing on his limbs, barefooted, to relieve some symptoms?

At first I thought they were giving the guy chest compressions with their feet... but upon rewind it looks like they may have been trying to help him "shake out" the cramping. If this is the case, then it makes me think this kind of event happens a little more that rarely!

Your flexor muscles are more powerful than your extensor muscles, therefore when electrically stimulated you grip and flex, unable to release. Don’t know anything about massaging the extremities

I have been on the receiving end of nearly being electrocuted its no fun. Sweaty gloves aluminum ladder 16 feet off the ground ac welder and some how managed to break the insulation off the handle of the stinger which immediately managed to find a hole in one of my gloves luckily the setting on the welder was only for 90 amps.
when it caught hold of me all I could focus on was to make sure I tightened my grip on the ladder with my left hand and yell out shut it off shut it off several times. the jolting from the current passing from one hand through the other made my whole buddy jerk finally my jerking movements dislodged the stinger from my right hand and the pathway for the current was broken when I dropped the stinger I grabbed another ladder rung with my right hand and just hung on for a few moments then managed to climb down with out falling but it was several minutes before I could talk coherently just broken or clipped words and part sentences.
they always say its not the volts but the amps that get you well 90 amps at 27Volts AC hurts and could easily kill
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

Definitely scary stuff there! The reason I asked about the massaging was from the memory of a childhood "experiment" that I conducted with electricity that involved a toy train transformer, a car spark coil and the wall outlet. All I'll say is when I touched the wrong point I was instantly curled inward but managed to push away (or maybe a wire dropped out of the circuit). Afterwards, I felt like I just ran three marathons - well, maybe I felt like I ran one and was drug through the other two.

I was wondering if massaging the muscles helped with the sense of being "super fatigued" as I still clearly recall.
