    Hemi's Tools

New to the forums, a Unimat lover!!!!

Hello everyone, Names John, (Call me Hemi) -thats what I'm known as on every other forum i'm on, I currently have 2 Unimat machine centers, one set up as a Milling machine, and the other set up as a Lathe. and then I have a small (but larger) Grizzly needing repairs, as it had plastic gearing for headstock drive, but the Unimats are GREAT "Hobby" size tools, I use both of mine regularly within the means of my hobby of model car & truck building....

Outside of the modeling however, I do have a somewhat complete Mini machine shop at my fingertips!

Hope to learn, possibly teach a few tricks here but most of all enjoy it all!

    Hemi,

Welcome to HomemadeTools.net. I too have been using a Unimat SL that I bought new in 1970. I have made many improvements to the basic Unimat and may be something you would be interested in seeing at http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/m...00-lathe-10111 .

    Regards,

    Paul Jones

I've also done a few things to trick out my Unimat. Some of them are explained here...
