The loader has 180 HP 43,000 lbs open ROPS. The exhaust is 4 inches the muffler the way I rebuilt it the 4inch inlet tube is 30 inches long with 22 inches of that being inside the 7 inch diameter muffler shell. The 18 louvered indentions are spaced about 1 inch apart in a spiraling pattern, diverting approximately 35 to 40% of the exhaust flow to the muffler cavity the rest of the flow continues straight through the diverted gases re enter the flow through the relief cut outs in the centering support disk at the end of the inlet tube. The reduced velocity of the expanded gases coupled with the turbulent motion created by the spiraled pattern of the louvers reduces the exhaust noise by I would guess about 60% over that of not having any muffler at all. Over all I am very satisfied with the outcome as it is as near to the sound level of a factory new muffler would be
