Fine when there is clearance under the load, as here below trailer. It would be a great mounting rotary tables, lathe chucks, unwieldy tooling in general.

Also fine as long as there is enough counter weight to balance the load as you are lowering it. Much like unloading a trailer with a skid steer just because you can pick ip while at height doesn't always mean you will be able to lower it to the ground with out tipping over
