    Side post batteries top my list of the worst modern designs....
    Too little contact area in the terminal.
    Located below the electrolyte level so a broken seal results in a leak.
    Almost impossible to clean the contact area.

    Every car I've ever had with these batteries were immediately changed out for top post batteries.
