A stand for my 'simple' wood lathe, built from sections of 4" channel and 1 1/2" square tubing. The legs are cut for approximately a 10 degree angle at the top, and then welded to the channel sections to form legs. It took about half a day to build, and works great with my little homemade wood lathe!

Great stand. Looks like a good enough alternative for mounting a bench grinder and small vise on opposite ends.

Great idea! Never thought of that, but I guess it could be used in a number of ways. After I built it, I realized just how much it resembles the classic 'saw horse' The lathe is detachable, so the stand could do double duty for other tools as well.
