Hi,
Here is an idea I saw somewhere on the Web, I can't say exactly from whom it is.
It is a set of soft jaws to be installed on a heavy duty vise for holding delicate wood and non parallel pieces :

This gives me a new idea for creating special purpose "soft" jaws and the big springs are what I needed to make it work. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Nice approach. Instead of mounting the soft jaws to the vise jaws the jaws straddle the movable jaw shaft. Quick and easy install.
