'Transporting a yacht through a canal'

I would like to know if transitioning that canal was part of the design criteria for the yacht.

When I went through the old panama canal locks there was only <=12" clearance on both sides of the boat.

This boat was built in Aalsmeer, NL and is being delivered to Sweden. I am positive that the builder in Aalsmeer was keenly aware of the canal clearances before the keel was laid!

Here are 2 videos of newly built cargo ships making the 50km journey from the ship yard to the open water. Not as sexy as the yacht, but a lot bigger.
The Dutch know how to use their canals!
