It may not but it is a great way for a company to repurpose their drops which would otherwise be sent to a scrap bin even if scrap steel paid them say $250.00 per ton. there are approximately 800 3/8" USS grade washers per pound or about $200.00 per hundred pounds or approximately 5000 washers in bulk in plated quantities. If you netted 1000 lbs of washers from a ton of scrap you would still have $125.00 worth of scrap and $2000.00 worth of washers
