Nope, Think about it, with the lake level dropping as low as it is fewer and fewer of the turbine generators can be online the ones that are, are being forced to take up the slack to meet the demand. Higher loads mean more amperage resulting in more heat buildup with less and less time to cool down. I would be greatly surprised if we don't hear of more and more power generation failures in the near future brought on by the ever-increasing demand for more and more energy on an already overtaxed ageing grid. But let's just convert all vehicles to electric while we are at it and concentrate only on adding wind and solar to the grid not construction any more Natural gas or nuclear power plants Coal is pretty much at it's reasonable limit as far as being able to be cleaner than it already is.
Ok maybe I am ranting but that's how I feel
Never try to tell me it can't be done

No, I meant the dam maintenance guys will have to fix that!

We need to improve all dams with the newer, higher efficiency turbines and triple the amount of dams in the country and build wind generating plants and solar farms before we put all our eggs in the "electric car" industry. Infrastructure first, not as an after thought or an Uh Oh! Damn auto correct!

The problem with the electric car industry is we are only trading 1 depletion of resources for another, all the while creating a far greater safety hazard not only to the environment but to the people who own and drive them.

Agreed. I still think it's the cart before the horse though.
