Lathe for drill press

I always wanted to have a lathe for wood but I don't have much space in my workshop, so I decided to build one myself using my drill press. For this, I used an angle drill adapter and after many tests I saw that the result could be good.

The benefit of the angle drill adapter would be the absence of lateral stress on the drill press bearings.

Inventive and resourceful, not sure how long the angle drive will last but they are cheap enough.
Very nicely made as is all your work.

What a wonderful build to watch. I only wish that you would have explained the things you were doing and why, while we watched your skilled hands at work.
I was wondering where did you use the paste wax we see you getting at the end? On the runners or all the pieces of wood? And do you have plans for this build?

I usually fast forward a lot on these internet videos on building things. But I quickly stopped that when I was watching this one. You are clearly an expert wood craftsman. And apparently not at a loss with metal parts either.

Now, if a router could be added to it .........
