    Lathe for drill press

I always wanted to have a lathe for wood but I don't have much space in my workshop, so I decided to build one myself using my drill press. For this, I used an angle drill adapter and after many tests I saw that the result could be good.

The benefit of the angle drill adapter would be the absence of lateral stress on the drill press bearings.

Inventive and resourceful, not sure how long the angle drive will last but they are cheap enough.
Very nicely made as is all your work.

    Hi Mikhandmaker
Credit where credit is due, great video. I am just getting into the YouTube thing, but you are in a different league.
Great design as well for a small workshop lathe

    Hi Mikhandmaker,

I enjoyed watching the beautifully filmed video and seeing all your handwork in action. Keeping your hand planes and chisels ultra-sharp really made a difference with your work and a good example to follow. Your careful efforts paid-off with a very nicely engineered and made small wood lathe. I also think I spotted several other homemade tools that you should publish here at HMT.

Thank you for taking the time to make the video.

    Regards,

    Paul Jones
