That old tire was indeed the thing that brought this project to life. I had been trying to think of a way to put a guard around the wheel on the lathe. I was out walking the dog when she flushed a chipmunk out of a piece of pipe and if ran under the old tire. She pick up the tire and tossed it out of the way. That sparked the idea.

You never know for sure how or when a new idea will be conceived.
