Frank I hope you don’t mind me high jacking your post. But one of the best modifications I made, was to a set of odd leg Jenny’s. I use these all the time for marking out. Often there is a need to mark off from a shoulder, tipped sheet metal edge, flanged edge and casting etc. The main reason I opted for this modification was to aid marking out flanged edges from templates on copper boiler plate’s.
So I simply inverted the leg so it could run along the opposite side. Hopefully the photos below will make this clearer.
