Unconventional Machinist Clamp.
These clamps take up about half as much space on the mill table as the standard machinist clamps.
With a small mill I find the conventional clamps too big to clear the mill column.

This is my version with plans for one with a 3.0" capacity. This can be increased by making the all thread studs longer. Jaw depth is just under 2 inches.
Loctite is used on the stud threads at the lower jaw and the rear most stud and it's brass knob. The picture shows the details as do the prints.
