Last century, used to make chain drive diffs out of BMC FWD diffs. Didn't bother making new carriers, just made a Al cylindrical cover to fit carrier, see 51 seconds.
Machined carrier for o ring grooves for sealing... Sprocket bolted on instead of ring gear.
