The nice thing about having the two individual tools is when different stock diameters are to be faced and chamfered the tooling positions can be easily be reset to accommodate this difference in size. This method also allows different size chamfers to be cut as the facing tool can travel past centre allowing the second tool to cut required chamfer dimensions. Another advantage is only one bed stop position is required in conjunction with the spindle backstop.
