This is the tools setup for cutting along the z-axis. A right hand lathe tool followed by the chamfer tool for sliding. For facing, I use the left hand tool as per the video. So as can be seen from the photo below, the length in this case has changed the chamfer size and the tool orientation.
The photo shows one of the stages in making the phosphor bronze cylinder-block bolts for my 1” scale Traction Engine.
