Congratulations rossbotics - your Universal Grinding Fixture is the Homemade Tool of the Week!
Once again a week with multiple nice builds that could've won had they been posted in a less abundant tool week. However, "less abundant tool weeks" are increasingly rare around here.
Some nice picks: an Adjustable Laser Cutter Platform by scorch, an Extra Wide Mini Excavator Bucket by Frank S, a Quasi-Involute V-Block by mklotz, an Easy Grip Center Punch by Philip Davies (this is a rising trend around here: tools that are easier to handle), a Hole Cutter by olderdan, and a 3D Measuring Technique by rgsparber (interestingly, note this Trigger Guard by rgsparber, posted yesterday, and like the measuring technique, also makes clever use of simple metal wire). And the $100 Craigslist 1935 South Bend Lathe Restoration by mr95gst was so nice that we're considering adding a new monthly award for the best tool restoration.
Very nice to see this tool made with a previous Homemade Tool of the Week winning tool by rossbotics, his Machine Tool Dial Making Fixture. Detailed plans are on the way for this fixture; I've just sent out the cover art to rossbotics for his approval. If the success of the Machine Tool Dial Making Fixture plans is any indicator, this will be a popular set of plans.
rossbotics - you'll be receiving a $25 online gift card, in your choice of Amazon, PayPal, Giftrocket, or bitcoin. Please PM me your current email address and gift card choice and I'll get it sent over right away.
That's win #13 for rossbotics! Here are all of your wins:
