This is somewhat same sized 40cm opening = 16".
That allows to use bending dies, installing bearings to longer axles... Etc

" Regular " hydraulic vise opens 4-6" That's not very much, and doesn't allow to use nearly more that just clamping objects. That's why i started to think about option that allows to get the advantage about the hydraulic use. Otherwise there wouldn't be much difference, if the vise is screw or hydraulic powered, if it can't be used more than holding objects.
