    Deluxe Marking Gauge

    Hi

    I wanted to make a very special present for my Daughter who is now studying design and cabinet making at the famous "Boulle" school in Paris.
    So I made this marking gauge out of ebony and brass and leather for her.

    I must say I am pretty happy with it and its owner as well.
    This week when her teacher saw it ,he asked here where she had it made.
    And the irony of it is that this week, the exercise was ... to make a wooden marking gauge
    So it is the marking gauge that makes other marking gauges.
